Five checks before export

Review the easy-to-miss finishing details before pressing the output button.

Five checks before export guide illustration
01

The first and final frames

Look for blank frames before the opening and unwanted footage after the ending. Trim the duration so that the video finishes where you intend.

02

Caption typos and cutoffs

Read numbers, names and links one more time. If you changed to a vertical aspect ratio, check for captions cut off at the edges.

03

Volume and sync

Make sure music does not mask important speech and that the voice matches the mouth movement. Play the entire video at normal speed.

04

Resolution and frame rate

Choose values appropriate to the source and publishing destination. Selecting a higher resolution will not create detail that was absent from the original.

05

Check the file and back it up

Play the exported file separately to check its picture and sound. Keep the original media and project files as well so that you can edit again later.
