Terms of Service

About these terms

These Terms govern your use of the EditClaws Windows video editing app, the editclaws.com website, AI features and related online services (the “Service”).

By installing the app, creating an account or buying a paid product, you agree to these Terms.

Accounts

You must be at least 14 years old, or older if your country requires it.

Keep your account information accurate and your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Using the app

Under these Terms, EditClaws grants you a non-exclusive license to use the app for personal and commercial video production.

Everyday editing and rendering run on your own PC. You are responsible for storing and backing up your projects and source files.

Videos exported on the Free plan may include an EditClaws watermark.

Your content

You keep the rights to the videos, images, audio and text you edit or upload, and to what you create with them.

You must have the rights and any necessary consent for all content you upload or edit, including the faces and voices of people who appear in it.

EditClaws processes your content only as needed to provide the features you choose. For example, when you use an AI feature, that request is sent to an external AI provider.

AI features

AI features such as text-to-speech, transcription and translation are optional and provided through external AI providers. Results can be inaccurate or differ from what you expect, so review them before use.

EditClaws may refuse requests that violate these Terms or provider policies.

Prohibited use

You may not use the Service to:

create sexual content involving minors, or sexually explicit content
use a real person’s face or voice without consent, or create content that impersonates someone
infringe copyrights, trademarks, publicity or privacy rights, or remove or alter copyright or source notices on content you do not have the rights to
promote harassment, hate or violence, or carry out illegal activity
bypass the Service’s security, usage limits or payments, or sell or transfer accounts or credits

Plans, credits and payment

Paid plans and credits are sold through a payment provider designated by EditClaws, which may act as the merchant of record and handle payment and taxes.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period (monthly or annual) and can be cancelled at any time. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Credits are units for using AI features. Credits included in a subscription are granted each month and expire at the end of that month’s period. Credits bought in credit packs do not expire. Credits cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.

Prices and what is included are as shown at checkout.

Refunds

Duplicate charges and purchases that were not delivered are refunded in full.

For other refund requests, contact support@editclaws.com. We review them based on unused credits and the remaining period. Any refund or withdrawal rights you have under applicable law take precedence over these Terms.

Changes and suspension

EditClaws may add, change or discontinue features. We will give advance notice of material changes that are unfavorable to paying users.

If you violate these Terms, we may refuse the request or restrict or terminate your account.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided as is. EditClaws does not guarantee that it will run without interruption or errors.

To the extent permitted by law, EditClaws is not liable for indirect or incidental damages, and any liability is limited to the amount you paid EditClaws in the 12 months before the event.
